Every morning when I boot up the time is 20 minutes ahead of the correct time. How do I correct this problem?

ran pacman -S openntpd
rebooted, and time is correct. Seems to have corrected the problem. Thanks.

You might want to go into your BIOS and check the system time set there as well. This could be the source of the time shift. Fixing that will help keep your computer on time even when you don't have internet access, or across other OS installations.

Will do. Thanks

sounds like you probably already did this, but adding the openntpd to your daemons list stopped start up errors in time on my system.

booted up this morning and while I was logging in the time changed to the correct time. adding openntpd to daemon list I think did the trick.
looking good

Even though this is already solved, I had a problem with my computer giving incorrect time. I dual-boot with windows, and somehow my rc.conf had set my hardware clock to UTC, which does not play nice. setting to localtime fixed the problem
