I upgraded my system this morning (with pacman -Syu) and everything went well.
Now I am trying to install some new packages:
pacman -U extra/phonon-xineand I get this message: "cannot open package file
[root@chaplin ~]# pacman -U extra/phonon-xine
loading package data...
error: 'extra/phonon-xine': cannot open package filePhonon-xine is not the culprit: I tried with some other packages, I always get this error.
What's wrong now ?

pacman -S phonon-xine
you want to use pacman -U when you have a _local_ package e.g pacman -U package.pkg.tar.gz
really, i suggest you to read the manual. man pacman, http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pacman

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

Ok, my bad.
I have so many issues these days (Akonadi, strigi, Nepomuk, sound, video, etc.) that I hastily concluded this was just an other hiccup...
Sorry.
