success/failure logging

While taking the rough edges off of pacmatic, I've run into a snag.  Pacmatic parses the log file to figure out when the last sync happened and when the last upgrade happened.  However,  an aborted upgrade looks the same as a successful upgrade.  For some (but not all) cases, you can look at the package updates and infer success, but there should be a more direct way.

Am I missing something here?

He's the author of pacmatic.

And I'm not aware of any way to see success from the logs other than the one you described.
