Xorg Strange Colors [Solved]

When I switch from an emulated terminal   "the ctrl + alt +f1 stuff"  upon switching back to xorg my colors are scrambled, and it is really strange. also I get a similar strange color effect when i try to use the program remotejoy.

I have a ATI card, quad core 64bit arch.

Re: Xorg Strange Colors [Solved]

If you have ctrl+alt+backspace enabled to restart X (http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xor … 27t_exit_X), does such a restart correct the colours?

Also have you tried using a different driver for your graphics card?

Welcome to the forum, oldmanwithacup!

Which ATI card do you use exactly ? Which driver/kernel/X do you use ? Did you try to downgrade ? How is your xorg.conf ? Does your X work under other distribution ? Did you tried in 32 bit mode ?
