I have followed the wiki about installing and configuring lirc: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Lirc
Installed lirc and lirc-utils
pacman -S lirc lirc-utils
Everything went fine, then I tryed to load the module:
modprobe lirc_serial
Everything ok too, then I have copyed the configuration file from lirc's web site to my /etc/lircd.conf.
After that I started the daemon:
/etc/rc.d/lirc start
It works fine, then I tryed to test my receiver with irw and mode2. Both resulted nothing.
I know that my device works because I have used before.
Its a home brew device from lircs web site.
Does anybody knows how to get it working?
Thanks in advance,
Renan

Thanks for your answer!
There is no output error from any of the commands I have typed.

A few days i had a similiar problem. The xorg-server recognized my remote and overwrite my lirc-settings. Check you Xorg.0.log if there is something about your remote.
