Need "Esc" button on remote control

Hi
I installed xbmc on my M1530 laptop and I need "Esc" button on my remote control. Is it possible to change one of the buttons on my remote control to act as an "Esc"  (so pressing this button wil do the same as pressing the "Esc" key on keyboard)?
