gnome appearance properties won't open after updating lcd filters

Hi,
I just applied the fontconfig-lcd and  cairo-lcd filter packages from the AUR. The fonts look really good now, but gnome-appearance-properties won't open.
I tried through terminal and got the following answer:

[hdhiman@hdlaptop ~]$ gnome-appearance-properties
gnome-appearance-properties: error while loading shared libraries: libXft.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Upon typing "locate libXft.so.2" , i get the following response:

/usr/lib/libXft.so.2
/usr/lib/libXft.so.2.1.13

I wonder what is wrong

You also need the libxft-lcd package from [community].

pacman -Rd libxft
pacman -S libxft-lcd

You have to ignore dependency errors, hence the d switch.
