[SOLVED] /tmp full, no files listed

Nevermind, I missed a directory and freaked out
--------

Hi, sorry about the messy topic title.
Ok so I wanted to create a backup of my home directory on another drive, /dev/sdc1 which is/was ntfs formatted and working fine. I followed some instructions (perhaps the wrong ones..) instructing me to enter run level 1 (init 1) and type the following:

cp -ax /home /mnt/j/hmbackup

where /mnt/j is the mount point for /dev/sdc1.
I did this and left it running (was running for 10-15 min) until it said something along the lines 'cannot copy [cantremember], destination is full'

I can still access /mnt/j and its contents, but if i df the following are shown:

Filesystem                   Size        Used     Avail      Use%    Mounted on
none                         1.5G          168K     1.5G       1%           /dev
none                         1.5G          0           1.5G       0%          /dev/shm
/dev/sdb1                 99M           11M        84M       12%         /boot
/dev/sdb4                 282G         12G        256G      5%          /home

Thanks
