Menu of gtk applications looks a little bigger than kde applications. I am facing this problem for applications like firefox and pidgin.
In my system settings ->appearance -> gtk style and fonts, I am usinf qtcure style and bitstream vera sans size 8.

This is some problem with qtcurve any other gtk sytle sets the font correctly

gtk-chtheme crashes whenever I clicks on something.

And right now I am using kde42-oxygen-molecule. other that gmail select buttons for mail everything else is fine with it.

You can work around this issue by running qconfig and changing the font size to 1 point lower than the size that your gtk theme uses.

@muramasa By this issue you meant gtk-chtheme crashing or font issue with qtcurve. Which package provides qconfig?
Anyway kde42-oxygen-molecule is looking good
