Hey archers - relatively new guy here.
I was attempting to install splashy today but ran into some problems after make-install. According to the readme in the tar package:
3. Make sure "scripts/splashy-update-progress-steps" is in /etc/init.d/splashy and
/etc/rcS.d/S01splashy symlink that points there
These directories/files were never created during installation and splashy isnt loading during boot. I already looked over the wiki (http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Splashy) but it wasnt much help. Im sure there are a ton of you here who have experience installing this so wanna throw some pointers my way?

Did you follow the exact steps of that link? Use the splashy-full package from AUR. just follow the installation guide from that link and it should work fine, has always for me.

Huh. I downloaded just the splashy package not the "splashy-full".... After extracting, the folder contents look the same but ill give it another try
