[SOLVED]no 5.1 channel o/p in pulseaudio

I have  realtek alc662 rev2 onboard sound, installed pulseaudio to get 5.1 channel output, I follwed the archwiki about pulseaudio carefully, did everything exactly but still no 5.1 channel o/p is there. There is volume control option for all the 6 channels in both alsamixer and pulsevolumecontrol but only the front channels are active in the volume meter.
When selecting 5.1 channel in vlc it says "VLC could not open the ALSA device "surround51" (Device or resource busy)."
Plz help me out guys!!!!!

Re: [SOLVED]no 5.1 channel o/p in pulseaudio

You may want to search specifically for pulseaudio info on your board, or take this to their ML. As I can recall, lots of issues are to do with alsa's drivers rather than pulse itself.
