Can someone describe this step in more detail from the beginners guide please?
B: Install Video Driver Package
Now we have the base packages we need for running the X Server. You should add the driver for your graphics card now (e.g. xf86-video-<name>).
How do I add the drivers that were just downloaded? I have a Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset.

Try this:
pacman -S xorg-server xorg-xinit xf86-input-keyboard xf86-input-mouse xf86-input-evdev xf86-video-intel
Make sure you put dbus and hal in daemons array in /etc/rc.conf

How can I use pacman to check if any of those are already installed?

not the intel one, but I think some of the other ones were already installed with x-org right?
