My font is Helvetica, and the round thing is called Daisy. It can be changed into a media controller or a dock, it's on kde-look.org smile

The weather plasmoid is Yet Another Weather Plasmoid, or YAWP.

Beautiful launcher, that Daisy.  Its really too bad that KDE4 is so bloated and I can't use it on my system.  I really tried, trust me sad

KDE 4.3 isn't bloated at all. At startup, mine uses 0 - 2% cpu and 250MB of ram. 4.3 Is a big improvement in those areas over 4.2. I'd say it's more lightweight than Gnome atm, they really have done a great job with it.

I suppose its relative.  I'm using ScrotWM right now, so moving to a full DE really slows things down.  I can bring my laptop out of suspend in about 15 seconds - it takes 30-40 seconds to bring it up to KDE4, and then another 15 or 20 seconds for things to work right.  Most of that time is because of Compiz, though, so I guess my complaint is really with Compiz.  I've not tried using KDE without it, perhaps I should.

Terminal is rxvt-unicode-256color, config: .Xdefaults. The borders are emerald theme called 64829-WhiteMod (I don't know where I got it), I modified it a bit inside emerald to make the borders thinner).

There are two conky configs: one for the upper bar and one for messages log.

you're gonna have to play around with compiz to get shadows working properly (I disabled them on dock, hence the lower conky is own_window_type dock, the upper one is own_window_type normal). Also, at different resolutions you're gonna have to modify gap_x and gap_y since there is no alignment on docks.

Since I lamented here about someone else's setup, I suppose I should post mine smile

It is essentially a bone-stock ScrotWM install.  I've added a background, changed a few key bindings, and piped in a conky-cli, but otherwise, I didn't see the need to change anything.

It's actually 2 dzen2's and conky
Left one is spawned via xmonad.hs (to display the workspaces etc..) and the second one is a script that launches conky and pipes output into dzen2

Indeed I usually just use imagemagick 'import -window root *.png' I'm too lazy to map that to a key. I've tried the scrotWM but I always return to fluxbox. I don't know what it is, must be the ease of use and just used to it over the years.
