my CDMA USB Modem shows up in lsusb or dmesg with vendor- and product number
but there is no device /dev/USB* or /dev/ACM* to see
i found also a string in /sys/ /devices/usb/ where even the company name Qualcomm is there
kppp does not find any modem
how can i connect my modem

probably you must load correct kernel module ....

the modules i loaded special for the modem are
cdc-acm
qcserial
but still the same
in the device-manager is a lot of info about my modem but no clear interface

sorry but i've not experience with that technology
i say you only to follow ubuntu, or gentoo, or debian wiki to solve it
or going to productor site to see if there is any linux install guide ....
