[Solved] How to set up LaTeX for Cyrillic text?

Hello community!

I need to set up LaTeX for processing Russian text. I'm not very experienced in LaTeX and have never worked with non-latin languages in it.

I've tried

\usepackage[utf8]{inputenc}

but it returns:

 Package inputenc Error: Unicode char \u8:Т not set up f...

With adding

\usepackage[T2A]{fontenc}

I get:

 Package fontenc Error: Enc

Which packages do I need and how to make it work? hmm

edit: Solution found, the package texlive-langcyrillic was needed.

The very worst thing you can do with free software is to download it, see that it doesn't work for some reason, leave it, and tell your friends that it doesn't work.  -  Tuomas Lukka
