Hi.
I have a Acer ASpire 1410.
Just today i realized i cant access my cd roms.
The driver works. I can use livecds...
# /etc/fstab: static file system information

Thats my fstab.
On my old laptops i never had this problem, and the only difference between this and old is that older where a bit more powerful.
I need to burn a cd...
PS:And my driver is not disabled in bios(http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=77086)

Please define "can't access".
According to your fstab, cds get mounted to /media/cd. A simple "mount /media/cd" should do it.
If you want automounting, note that it's not configured by default. You can start from here: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/FAQ … mething.3F
Your cd burner should show up as /dev/cdrw. Check ls /dev/cd*

Thanks it works now. Ill check the automounting apps.
This just seemed odd to me because in the old laptop i never had to mount(neither i had automounting apps)
Thanks and greetings.
