KDE Folder View Help

Hello all,

I have been searching for a solution to my problem and so far come up empty. Back when i used Kubuntu if I enabled Folder View as a widget on my taskbar I could use it to naviagte my folders through the various sub-directories before clicking my file and opening it with the required application. Curently I can only open one directory and have to navigate the rest of the way by hand via Dolphin. Does anyone know how to enable the fore-mentioned feature?

Thanks in advance,

~Jon~

Re: KDE Folder View Help

I don't know how to do it with the folder view plasmoid, but kubunbtu does come with the quickaccess plasmoid (http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.ph … ent=101968), that does what you want, and is available from the aur.

Re: KDE Folder View Help

lol, I've been trying to find a way to turn it off. smile  Do you mean when you roll-over a folder and a new window fades-in showing you the sub-director(y|ies)?  I have the behavior with the stock install of kde.

Re: KDE Folder View Help

I meant exactly how the Quick Access applet works lol, I got the names mixed it seems. What I wanted (and have now got working) is a link to a folder that open from/stays attached to my taskbar that I can navigate through until I click a file i.e. an image and the window closes and the file opens in it's application.
