License and packaging issue

Hi

I want to submit a package to AUR that is basically a collection of freely available sources.  The problem is that these sources are released under a whole variety of licenses - it is impractical or even impossible to include all in /usr/share/licenses/pkg.

What is the official policy in such a situation?

On a more general note, does AUR support the new multi-package PKGBUILD system?

What do you mean by "a collection of freely available sources"? That sounds as though you intend to use the AUR for source-code hosting, which is not what it's meant for (nor is it allowed). The AUR should only contain PKGBUILDs and local source files such as patches, desktop files and maybe an icon or two.

Not at all, perhaps sources was the wrong word.

It is a collection of GMT color pallete tables for use in mapping applications.  They are collected from a range of open source projects  (e.g. GMT, grass, yorick, NASA...) + user contributions and are reformatted for use with GMT (Gimp gradients also available, etc).  As a collection from a variety of sources, it has a variety of licenses.

They make the collection available for download, and it can be installed in such a way that it integrates seamlessly with GMT.

FYI I am not affiliated with cpt-city in any way.  I am just a GMT user, and GMT users will find this incredibly useful. I have already  written the PKGBUILD for myself. As per spec, the sources are downloaded from the url above.
