Pascal and Modula2

Does anyone have any thoughts about building in Pascal and Modula2 into the gcc package?

Kind regards

According to the website, GNU Modula 2 is currently stuck with GCC 3.3.4 while the current GCC in arch is 3.4.3...

So, until they catch up with the latest gcc developments, it would be a hell of a lot of work to do..

Basically, one would have to do the work of the whole GNU Modula 2 team to make a package vor arch -current and keep in sync with the progress the official modula sources are making.

Too much work to bother, I would say: Wait until they have caught up with gcc development so you can include it into an existing gcc PKGBUILD..

Re: Pascal and Modula2

This was my thinking too.

Nice to see it confirmed by someone else.

I now have free pascal installed, and will look for a non gnu modula2 to poke about with.

Thanks for the heads up though.
