Beep Command?

I'm sure there must be one, so what is the / a command to make the computer's internal speaker make the beeping noise? Also, is there a way to modify its pitch / volume with the command? I want to write a script to make a novelty horn for my computer.

Re: Beep Command?

I don't know about modifying the pitch, but the volume can be altered by alsamixer (that is, if you have ALSA installed of course).
