I installed Archlinux with the hard disk set as Compatible in the bios instead of AHCI, and now i've problems to boot Arch when I change it to AHCI.
It says something like this:
If the device "/dev/disk/by-uuid/ (big ass alpha nermeric #) is created here, try adding "rootdelay=10" or higher to the kernel command line ramfs$
I really don't know what to do.
Thanks

Perhaps you can use edit at the boot prompt in order to add the root delay to the kernel line at that point in the boot sequence.
Use "e" to start edit and move the cursor to the kernel line, make the change and enter.
Follow the instructions to continue booting.
