I'm creating pdf slideshows using Latex and its beamer package and want to include movies. Latex has the facilities for this and everything compiles succesfully but acroread throws an error while loading the pdf. acroread points me to Adobe's website which, of course, does not support Linux explicitly, suggesting quicktime, flash or realplayer. I currently have VLC installed and would assume that mplayer might be part of the solution but I'm not sure how to properly configure it.
Has anyone succesfully configured acroread to play movies and if so, how?
Thanks
