A quick question from the almighty g revealed conky-colors using a script for banshee. That might be a start?

Working on a few things at the moment, installing ARCH for one, I have it saved and will send you a link when online late today or tomorrow.

Gracias.

Bueno! LISTO!.

Sorry for the delay!  Having problems installing Arch.

Finally got it as far as tty1 - but can't even login.  Have no idea what name to put after:

CH! login:

Yup, Conky Hardcore!

I installed it as ext4 but my ext3 Xubu interfered and would not load it even with "rootfs=ext4"

Fixed that - installed ARCH and overwrote Xubu's GRUB then installed a newer version of Xubu on ext4 partitions now all is well.

All I need now is to configure ARCH (somehow) and delete Xubu forever!  lol

Que tengas un buen día

I just thought I would add my little setup. I'm in the process of coming up with a whole new conky setup and decided I wanted to watch the Urban Terror servers that I play on. Here's an example of what is looks like and the conky setup.

I might have to steal that for myself and use it for Openarena.. though I think the serverside bots might screw it up sad

Re: conky configs and screenshots!

Hi,

just amended my conkyrc to include some MPD infos as well. But I do get this error message from conky:

Conky: MPD error: host "jack" not found: Name or service not known

Now, I know that MPD is running properly, as I have no trouble connecting to it with other clients with "jack" as the host name. I did try various other combinations with 127.0.0.1, localhost, and anything else I could think of (out of desparation wink

I did google the error message, but the only sites that came up were either not very helpful or in foreign languages.

Does anyone have any idea, what might be wrong? Any hint appreciated.

Cheers
Jack

I have a new conky (requires Conky v1.7.2), but then I always have a new conky.  Clicking on the image will take you to Conky Hardcore! and the complete seteup.

Probably posted my original script in the wrong forum (Community Contributions), since it not strictly Arch related. Anyway it's a script to use with conky to have an animated rotation of radar frames on your desktop.

Is this by any chance possible to build a conky module that uses data from a running PostgreSQL database?
