SSH connection problems.

Hi, I'm trying to set up ssh connection between my laptop and pc. The thing is pc is using wifi router as wireless client. Laptop connects to other router (which is main gateway to ADSL) via wifi aswell.

PC -> router(wificlient)--> adsl router <--laptop

If I connect laptop by cable to wificlient router I can connect to ssh with no probs. But I cannot do this over adsl router. So, I want to connect to this PC ssh from w/e ip, not only local one. It there such possibility? I've got external IP on my ADSL.

Re: SSH connection problems.

Then you need to open port 22 in your routers to gain access from outside. To avoid spam i would advice you to make ssh use another port, and open that one instead.

Another thing that can be convenient is maybe only use one router in your network, ie. set your wireless router to act only as a wireless client and not as a router. This way you'll only need to open ports in adsl router...

In fact if you disable router capabilities on your wifi, you should need open any ports at all.
