Wireless won't work (rtl8180)

http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Wireless_Setup

I followed the instructions there, they worked the first time I Tried it, but for some reason it won't even bother to detect my card at this point.

DOwnloaded: WIreless_Tools
modprobe rtl8180 (since the wireless drivers were part of the package already)

iwconfig showed this

[*****@myhost ~]$ iwconfig
lo        no wireless extensions.

eth0      no wireless extensions.

[****@myhost ~]$ iwconfig wlan0
wlan0     No such device

lsmod shows the module in the list (rtl8180)

and here is the last command

[*****@myhost ~]$ lspci | grep .net
00:14.0 Bridge: nVidia Corporation MCP51 Ethernet Controller (rev a3)
06:09.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL-8185 IEEE 802.11a/b/g Wireless LAN Controller (rev 20)

It appears to be the right card... hmm or it does to me anyways...

Edit:Wasn't sure if the subject was a good enough name, was probably to vague at first as to what the issue is, so I changed it for the last time
really. >_>

Edit: And yes, it still won't work hmm

Hello SirEdgar2nd!

What's the output of your ifconfig ? What was the change the first working version and the non-working now ? Which kernel do you use ? Is there any related in your dmesg/syslog ?

and there hasn't been any changes from when it worked till when it didn't except I used a core install of a version of Arch from December 2008, but this time I screwed up my system and tried a reinstall (but I did a net install this time), and everything BUT the wireless (and sound, but I could get that to work later, I'm more focused on the wifi at the moment) works.

I've never done an dmesg before but the only things I See that are even close to related to the net are

NET: Registered protocol family 10
lo: Disabled Privacy Extensions
eth0: no IPv6 routers present

And I don't think that has to do with anything. There was more but I am not sure what to look at since the list is so long. o_O;

I never checked the syslog before and don't know how to do that... I'll edit this when I figure that out (unless someone tells me first XD)

Edit (still googling): Or is dmesg another way to check the syslog :/
