EDIT:
Basically, I had stuff poorly configured. I set my wireless connection to Open on my router & I discovered that you had to run hdcpcd in as forked process in the background for it to work.

I have DHCPCD timeout on me virtually every time I turn on my PC. Everything goes fine until DHCPCD starts up, it times out and then everything else goes without a hitch.
The only way I can get it working afterwards is to su and type dhcpcd. /etc/rc.d/network restart just fails so I do the dhcpcd thing instead. I get the off morning here and there where it doesnt time out.
Not sure if the problems connected to yours, since you are using Wi-fi, but I believe others are having trouble with DHCPCD timing out aswell and we all sort of hoped that the lastest release would solve the issues (it didnt).
