Re: [X11] fluxbox-cvs

I would like to request an update.  I love this pkgbuild am using only cvs fluxbox now thanks to this!  But the cvs repository has been moved according to the news at http://fluxbox.sourceforge.net/
Because of this I was hoping the pkgbuild could be rewritten to work with subversion.  Any info would be appriciated.

Re: [X11] fluxbox-cvs

Thanks a ton punkrockguy, only thing I should mention is that subversion should be a dependency.

Now I can get my daily fix of fluxbox!

Re: [X11] fluxbox-cvs

ummm - i am stuck in the philippines at the moment with no internet access (i have to use cafes) so i can't use cvs or svn - i can't really help.  you could try deleteing the whole cvs tree and re downloading it all - i had build probs once and it was because my tree was corrupted - i wish punkrockguy could update his package so i can have fluxbox with png support!

Re: [X11] fluxbox-cvs

I configured with --enable-imlib2 awhile ago and have png enabled, I thought this would make the icons in the menu look alot better but trying with different styles and different pngs they've all looked like crap. i was using 16x16 and 22x22. but anyways i might have to attempt to make a style now since there are so few png styles. and i can email you the pkg if you need it.

There is a bug in the new subversion ive noticed. if you have two apps minimized to the taskbar(with the default taskbar settings) and click on one it crashes X, if you set the taskbar to show all apps in the workspace, minimized or not,  this doesnt happen. ive seen this fixed in some earlier versions changelogs but it seems to have come back.

Re: [X11] fluxbox-cvs

cheers dude - the new 0.9.12 version is out with the imlib support and you are right the icons do look crap.

the mian problem is inherent to fluxbox - in the same way that the window title font size defines the size of the buttons the size of the menu frame font defines the size of the icons - it's pathetically limited.

i intend to have a a good crack with fvwm as soon as i have time!  i have seen some stuff in that that i am very impressed with and i don;t hink it should be too hard to get some good stuff out of it!

Re: [X11] fluxbox-cvs

Ill have to try the new release and see if it looks any better. i built mine around 12-30-04 right after they added imlib2 so maybe its buggy, and ill have to try changing the fonts and menuitemsize like you said and see if that helps
I use fvwm a couple days a week trying to get it looking nice. i have it looking ok now but still have a long way to go especially with the vector buttons, whenever i make one they somehow end up not drawing a side or the last line so my X looks more like a crooked Y  , so i stay with flux most of the time.
