.sub to .srt

Hi all -
not arch-specific but thought I'd ask.
Does anyone know a tool to convert .sub files to .srt?
I remember using some program on windows where you had to play this typing game so it could 'learn' which characters to replace with which.
I tried out abaddon's pkgbuild for ksubtile but that only seems to deal in .srts (well, when I tried to import a sub file it crashed)
Thanks in advance.

Re: .sub to .srt

Actually this program only converts .subs, rather than .ifo/.idx/.sub files. It's works fine with .subs but seems like I need something else to convert the vobsub files.
Apparently subtitleripper is part of transcode, but I couldn't find vobsub2pgm after installing the arch transcode package.

Re: .sub to .srt

I think that you're talking to yourself here. The two people that were having this conversion have been long since gone from the forums. robot5x posted last 2006-01-30 and SG-3 2005-02-28. It's kind of fun seeing a 4.5 year old thread being bumped... then subsequently locked.
