no sound via docking station

Hello,

for my Dell M4400 I have a docking station and loud speakers plugged in the docking station.

Unfortunately I don't get any sound out of the speakers.

The speakers work perfectly if plugged directly to the notebook.

My question now is, how do I get the speakers working??
