when pacman install::::remove::::packages

i noticed when pacman install packages, the information is a little messy,just show you a lot of packages and while installing it,i don't know how many packages i am installing and how many packages has been installed so far:::it's a little jerky when there are lots of packages to install;;

but when pacman remove packages ,it will show the progress more precisely,like(1/33#####)

when can't pacman do such when installing

Packages:
   Core:pac1,pac2
   Extra:pac3,pac4
   Community:pac5
Totally 5 packages
Installing:
  Core(2 packages)
  1/2 pac1########50%
  2/2
  Extra

Something lke that,it's more precise, isn't it?

Re: when pacman install::::remove::::packages

I checked the link,at first i was glad,the main developers seem noticed this problem,then i noticed they noticed it in year 2007,and it's still no hope of seeing it improved::::::::::::

seriously, guys,they have been into serious things and ignored this little thing:::

They do it for free, and you don't have to pay. What Allan meant was the Arch Bounty project, where you can donate for a specific purpose.

Re: when pacman install::::remove::::packages

I don't remember how pacman displays the download/installation progress... I'm up to date, I can't test for now... =.=
but powerpill displays this progress pretty well
