Ok so I got this in my Xdefaults
URxvt.font: xft:DejaVu Sans-8:medium:antialias=true,xft:Kochi Gothic:antialias=true
URxvt.boldFont: xft:DejaVu Sans-8:bold:antialias=true,xft:Kochi Gothic:antialias=true
Look in my screenie, the 2 frames on the bottom, I set the same font in Emacs, and it looks lovely, but urxvt is picky as hell. I tried using DejaVu Sans Mono-8, but that just looks awful.
Any ideea? I want DejaVu Sans to look like it does in emacs, I'm tired of terminus

I've always wondered why urxvt displays most of my fonts this way... I'm using the rxvt-unicode-256color package, and it's already got patched with "font-width-fix.patch" according to the PKGBUILD.
I want to know the real fix too.

my fonts were also messed up in urxvt once,
but i found out that my dpi was messed up,
check your /etc/X11/xorg.conf
and edit the monitor section and change dpi
Option "DPI" "96x96"Offline

I don't use a xorg.conf, but I'll have xrandr set dpi to check this.
edit: Nope, already at 96
