Can't download packages during install

I'm using an Arch 0.7RC disk to install.  I'm attempting to install the base packages during install from numerous mirrors and getting an error stating that one or more packages could not be downloaded.

Should I burn a newer 0.7 final ISO?  I figureed I could just use this one and download newer packages with pacman.

Re: Can't download packages during install

Hi trey.

Is networking set up? You may need to install a NIC driver, configure the network, and then start the network before you can run pacman or download from external sources.

You might find it easier to install the 'base' packages first. Next set up your network connection. And then update/upgrade the packages.

You'll need to include your NIC driver name in the 'MODULES' array in /etc/rc.conf. You'll also need to specify the ethernet interfaces. Then you can run:

/etc/rc.d/network start

and, if this works, you should be able to run pacman.

Regards,

Win

Re: Can't download packages during install

Thanks.  I ended up downloading and using the latest 0.7 ISO and the install went perfectly.
