Scheduled optimizations.

Do you guys run any optimizations periodically? Do you automate them using cron?

These are the following general optimizations I run.
I run pacman -Sy via cron. (this is left over from my conky usage).
I run pacman -Sc and pacman-optimize very rarely (probably twice since the last arch install which was about 8 months ago).

I recently cleared all my logs and it freed my / usage from 100% to 50% no joke
(luckily I had multiple partitions, not just a large /. I have to take a look at logrotate for this system)

What optimizations do you do on your system to keep it running smoothly?
