Hi everyone, just came back to Arch after a long Linux hiatus
I tried to install the netinstall today, and I discovered in the process that my wired ethernet was broken (long story, but now I'm 100% certain it is in fact broken). So I try to set up the wireless for my intel 3945 card, and it won't install. After this I installed the core install and I could not get my intel card to work, it would just time out every time I tried to get dhcp, which is the same output I got during the attempted and failed netinstall.
So, 1, why isn't my intel card working, which I know is well supported and the drivers are already in the kernel?
2, if this is in fact not the case and if I were to try the updated intel firmware, how do I install them, via CD? If so details on how?
thank you! I'll be checking this frequently so if you need any more info ask please

Make sure you have the right firmware package installed and working.
pacman -Qk iwlwifi-3945-ucode
should tell you if it's installed correctly.

Wireless must be configured manually during installation. Step by step is in the beginners manual.
