MPD Does not restore previous state.

Hi I'm using MPD. In the config I put a location for state_file, and MPD indeed writes this file, however every time after reboot it starts to play from the first song, instead off the song it was stopped at before the reboot.
Any ideas what I missed?
Thanks smile

Re: MPD Does not restore previous state.

Yeah, this is something that really bothers me too, but it's the way MPD is right now. So let's call it a missing feature. That's the way I understand it. It'll keep playing from the last song though if you don't stop MPD though ... so pause it or let it keep playing when you shut down. I hope they fix this sometime soon though, cause it bugs me too.

If you examine the state file, you'll notice that it stores the playlist too. So the fact that you have a playlist shows that the state file is working; it's just not working the way you or I would like it wink

However, there is a fix in the wiki, if you don't mind MPD starting in the paused state all the time: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/MPD … y_on_start
