gdesklets broke after kernel upgrade to 2.6.30.2-1

Upgraded the following:

kernel26 (2.6.30.2-1)
lib32-pango (1.24.5-1)

Now my gdesklets are broken.

How do I determine if the kernel or  lib32-pango broke my gdesklets? I'm a little apprehensive to try downgrading the kernel for fear of further breaking my system for present and future upgrades. However, gdesklets working is a very high priority for me.

I tried reinstalling gdesklets, no change.

Should I file a bug for this issue?

I get the following when trying to start gdesklets from the terminal:

[jeff@<localhost> ~]$ gdesklets
Starting gdesklets-daemon...

Could not open desklet /usr/lib/gdesklets/Displays/Clock/clock.display.

Re: gdesklets broke after kernel upgrade to 2.6.30.2-1

By the errors in the terminal, it looks like your system might just not be able to find the individual desklets.  Did you check "/home/jeff/.gdesklets/Displays/FTB/" to see if the desklets are still there?

Maybe try reinstalling the desklets and not the whole program.  Just an idea, not sure if it will help tho.

Re: gdesklets broke after kernel upgrade to 2.6.30.2-1

Follow Up:

Gdesklets will now start and run just fine.

I'm not sure why, never did figure out why it wouldn't run.

Had to have been a package change/update.

I just switches to screenlets while gdesklets were broken.....and now I like them....except the network monitoring sucks.

I'm back to gdesklets for that.
