The "http://repo.progdansoft.com/kde-4.4-unstable" repo will not be updated?
I don't think this repo has anything to do with this thread.
@venky80: I will first try to get kde building again. When I'm ready with thät I will try to get a repo for ati. But you can get most of it from aur (everything expect a kernel with kms-support, which will, propably change with kernel26-2.6.32)
Greetings

@markc: I've just installed mpkg on my server and recognized, that it isn't supporting split-packages yet. In this case I build kdebase wicht results in multiple packages and mpkg only moved kdebase-dolphin to the right place.
Another thing is, that you should check if $BUILDSCRIPT is set in mpkg as it wasn't set on my system.

WOuld it be possible to provide Qt snapshots from the Qt git repo?
The qt-copy one is quite a bit outdated...
Thanks :-)

Qt-copy is Qt with patches for KDE The [extra] one uses some of them.

Pacman -S kde-svn-all installs kdereview. The package is built on 20-01-2009. Do we really need it?
That's the reason why whenever i was trying to use weather plasmoid i was getting a plasma-desktop crash.
Also, kdesupport compiles fine today, but the package in the repo is outdated.

The new version of amarok in extra requires taglib which conflicts with kdesupport is there any way to get around this or could it be fixed in some way?

What's the ETA of packages compiled with the KDE patched Qt 4.6

KDE development will only move to Qt 4.6 at the end of the year so don't hold your breath ;-)

awww, but I thought that KDE 4.4 was going to be built with Qt 4.6?? ....Darn....

KDE 4.4 will move to Qt 4.6 when 4.6 will be released. Release of KDE 4.4 planned to February. Qt 4.6 will be released a bit earlier.

extragear-multimedia does not provide amarok anymore...
It seems as if theres a problem with taglib and taglib-extras in kdesupport... when I try to compile amarok on my own cmake doesn't find "taglib"
Edit: taglib in kdesupport seems to be outdated, seems like its still 1.5... maybe just drop it out and use the ones from the repos?
I was a time away from kde-svn, where can i find the actual PKGBUILDS?

@Solid1984Snake:
we are just splitting the kde-packages to get them compatible to the packages in [extra] again. So actually the packages are not really maintained until this work is finished.
The PKGBUILDs can be found at http://gitorious.org/kde-git-pkgbuilds

I just looked at the KDE 4.4 development schedules on kde.org:
October 10th, 2009: Trunk depends on Qt 4.6
Trunk is open for all commits which depend on Qt 4.6. From now on compilation with Qt4.5 will fail.
So it seems they are switching to Qt 4.6 in 6 days

P.S, the qt-copy currently provided has WebKit problems, at least on x86_64. Yesterday I compiled qt-copy myself, but it was version 4.5.3, and I didn't want to go through the hassle of recompiling all of KDE, so I reinstalled the one from repo. Could something be missing?

Something interesting is going on ?

Just a note to say I will most likely really really will stop building my set of KDE packages (the ones available from eth-os.org.) They are becoming increasingly messed up and I no longer have the time to test and keep them uptodate. Apologies for any inconvenience but it's been coming for awhile. Hopefully someone(s) will keep up the tradition of Daily KDE Git packages and I am more than happy to help if I can! My interest has moved to pure Javascript desktop and server systems. I'll remove the binary packages in another week or so.
