Custom USB Install

At the moment, I don't have a hard drive(running from an Ubuntu Live CD now). I want to install arch to an 8GB flash drive with root, home, and swap partitions. I'd also like to know of any way I could install the OS from my USB's root partition to a hard drive(once I buy one). So it would be like an installable live usb I guess. What would be the best way to do this?(without resorting to FaunOS, its fine but I'd prefer working with a base system so I have complete control over the installed packages)

Thanks in advance smile
