I'm honestly getting sick of these OSX whores telling Linux users how awesome it is.
If you're that easily seduced to another OS, We're better off without you.
Now, Sarah. If you have nothing better to post. Kindly go away.
Yawn.
Just more flame bait.
Never said OS X was better than linux. I was never easily seduced by anything.
Now if you have no intention of helping people here then you should probably go to the irc channel or create your own forum that you can insult people and try give everyone their opinion.

OSX is a pretty slick bit of software engineering.
But I don't especially want to run it.
For one thing, I really am not a big fan of GUIs in general. Low learning curve != powerful interface. And also, mice are, for the most part, soemthing that slows you down, not something that speeds you up.
I have used bash in OSX, and I can tell you that there is nothing wrong with it, but I wouldn't want an operating system where I can't play around with things like init.
Plus in order to run OSX, you have to buy PowerPC chips, and that's not something many of us can afford. Whereas, with my linux proficiency, I can always install on a PPC
There are still too many good reasons for hackers, and especially open source fans to run Linux over another kernel.
But you cannot ignore the merits of OSX, to do so would be not only folly, but disrespectful to the BSD hackers who made it possible.
So everybody is right.
Sort of.
Hurray!
But seriously, if you have not tried OSX, you should check it out, they have done a VERY good job with it.
