Screem

Screem doesn't work. Even if recompiled.

Will somebody do anything about it?
(restarting gconfd does nothing)

Re: Screem

if you recompiled it then it's not the package's fault... you're missing something (obviously) important....

try opening a terminal, typing "screem" and checking the output... most errors are more verbose in the terminal...

Re: Screem

I don't get any error messages in terminal, just this message box.
I don't have even the faintest clue what is missing. It should be included in deps.

Maybe somebody would actually try running screem and then post a reply?

Why not? It's not the package's fault that it doesn't work even if I have all dependecies?

Re: Screem

to fix this, you have to create the ~/.screem file manually... I don't know why this bug is coming up, but I get it under Debian also.

I hope this helps anyone who has this problem.

Re: Screem

OK, this bug is way too long open now. Since it is gnomish, I'll fix it tomorrow when I have time:

Thanks, but since in the meantime I got rid of Arch and never used screem, I can't tell.
