If it is so - execute 'xcompmgr' with '-C' parameter ('xcompmgr -cC &') in your autostart.sh
Tiny screen shot will help too.Problem occurs when you set <application class="*"><decor>no</decor></application> in your rc.xml.
Use xprop to find out the window class of tint2 and add an application class tag for it where you set the defaults back on and see if that helps?

XFCE + Compiz + gtk-window-decorator without gnome-control-center (and thus gnome-settings-daemon) dependency.
Icons are Gnome-colors, and GTK is a *heavily* modified Shiki-colors for roundedness and gloss (and because I detest thick tabs). Still experimenting with the gloss, though I think I'm content with it now. The color scheme is custom, I call it "Sublime." Font is DejaVu Sans Condensed (UME P Gothic S5 in my now playing conky). Wallpaper is right over here: http://interfacelift.com/wallpaper_beta … ility.html
In my conky, the outside two rings are the two CPU cores. The next one in is memory usage. The next one is my laptop battery. Top left inside is /. Top right inside is /home. Bottom inside is my Dad's Windows Vista partition.

Pretty basic stuff, but I love the wallpaper. Fluxbox (Git snapshot) with the FluxDust theme, Dust GTK theme, Humanity (Ubuntu 9.10) icons, Human Xcursor, using an experimental Git branch of Flux with 32-bit transparency so I can have that 1337 transparent urxvt.
I gotta say, out of all stacking WMs, I like Fluxbox the best (after all that testing of different WMs!). Traditional *box config, no xcompmgr problems (please PekWM devs, _please_ fix this), awesome panel and such, etc. As long as you avoid the tons of annoying pixmap themes.
I'll come up with something more original when I have time, for now I just want a usable desktop to work with (minimal, dark, elegant)

@Jimi: listen to edma's advice, pixelsize=7 != -7. Also xterm supports xft nowadays..try using xft:

Well, I finally got around to uploading a screenshot. One of those things I keep meaning to do but never getting around to.
I finally tried tiling WMs. Every time I heard someone else going on about tiling, I couldn't see what the fuss was about. (So it arranges your windows for you? What, you're too lazy to arrange them yourself, or something...?)
Then I decided to give it a try and WOW! It irritates me when I have to take my hands off the keyboard to reach for the mouse or touchpad. (Yes, Vimperator, I mean you with your stupid inability to zoom in on the full size of images with a keyboard shortcut...)
Clean shot of Awesome, with xcompmgr, parcellite, trayfreq and WICD.
And I always thought I'd never give up the elegance of Openbox, or the bling of Compiz for anything... I haven't logged into either of them since.

seriously! this is literally the only time i need the mouse when browsing with uzbl... i wonder if we can somehow simulate a mouse-click center-window with spacebar... that'd be perfect...

Just decided to google it and found the solution! :
http://superuser.com/questions/11173/co … vimperator
And it works!! ;i to zoom in and ;z to zoom back out. No idea if it'll work in uzbl too (do all Firefox add-ons work in uzbl?). Yay, another thing I don't have to resort to the rodent for.
Now I just need to sort out a working info.pl for Awesome 3, something I failed at earlier. I feel like I'm just not kewl enough without all that info in a terminal in my screenie... Might have helped if I'd spent more than 15 mins on it and not been doing 12 other things at once.

Really like it, especially the deep colors. mind sharing the .Xdefaults or you main theme colors?
