Don't know if it is a bug or maybe I did something wrong, but:

This morning I ran a 'aur upgrade' inside aursh and 'firefox-spookyet' was listed as outdated (RC2-1 -> RC3-1). So I did 'aur install firefox-spookyet' and left the pc alone (this package takes several hours to build). Upon returning, I saw that it was RC2-1 that was build and not the RC3-1, while the AUR-website lists the RC3-sources.

Spooky? wink

Zl.

Did you answer Y when aurshell was asking about overwriting the PKGBUILD and other files?
Anyway, now it's 3-stable.

Re: aurshell - just another AUR-DMS

There's new Pacnet API, so I've wrote new  implementation for it:

Yes, I know, I'm so lazy... wink

Re: aurshell - just another AUR-DMS

Hi there - long time aurshell user here.

Lately I haven't used archlinux frequently because two older computers died on me. So, after installing archlinux on my new laptop, I immediately installed aurshell only to find that I don't know how to install software directly anymore. I can find and download the necessary files, but installing has to be done through makepkg?

I used to just type 'aur -S foobar' inside aurshell IIRC?

Or am I missing something?

Re: aurshell - just another AUR-DMS

Hi, seems to be nice, I'll try it.

But after a short look into the default config file I saw something fishy.
You've set sudo as optional dependency in the PKGBUILD but the default install_cmd uses sudo.
The result is if you don't have sudo installed you can't use install_cmd.

Re: aurshell - just another AUR-DMS

Hi, it looks promising, but I have problem that It tries to upgrade/downgrade my local packages which are newer then aur.

crossover-pro               8.0.0-1 - 7.1.0-3
tpfand                      0.94-5 - 0.94-4

Re: aurshell - just another AUR-DMS

Nice, I just want to say that on your Aurshell homepage you might want to add a bit of CSS to change the cursor on your headings so that people know they're clickable.

h2 {
    cursor: pointer;
}

Should do the trick

I'm pleased to announce that aurshell (now just aursh) has been rewritten and reached version 2 - alpha  status.
