Hello, I installed Arch today and both the livecd and the installer worked fine, but when I rebooted and booted from my hard drive, monitor turns of after a line that goes something like "Waiting for Udev...", though the computer doesn't freeze (I can still login and reboot but the monitor doesn't get a signal).
Any ideas?

Are you using a setting like vga=xxx as kernel boot parameter? If yes, try to remove it. If that doesn't work, try adding nomodeset at the end of the kernel line.

With nomodeset my monitor doesn't go off. Thank you very much

I have the very same behaviour with an ATI graphics card an late kms enabled.
X does start perfectly however, so I just can't use the cli with kms enabled.
