Can't mount root device after update to latest kernel

For some reason, on startup, the kernel makes it to loading udev and then tries to mount the root device (/dev/sdb3) and fails. I checked my /etc/mkinitcpio.conf to see if my hooks changed unexpectedly somehow, but they look the same as before:

HOOKS="base udev autodetect pata scsi sata usb filesystems"

Does anybody know what could be wrong?

Re: Can't mount root device after update to latest kernel

Nevermind, I fixed it. I'm not sure exactly what happened, but I did notice that vmlinuz26 and System.map26 are at the root of my /boot partition and moved them to where I have my kernel26.img, and I think that was all I needed to do. I hope you can control where those files are put...
