I'm running an x86_64 system and have had no problems using pacman until about a week ago. When I attempt to upgrade a package or the system, the download fails between 80% - 92% complete and it cycles through all the mirrors and then gives up. Here is part of the output from pacman -Syu

I've been manually downloading the packages that pacman fails on and the rule seems to be that if the package is under 500K or so it will download fine, between 500K and 1M maybe, but will probably abort at around 90% and then proceed to the next mirror and abort at 90% and so on. Packages above 1M fail around 90% on all mirrors. I'm currently just manually getting the packages that fail and hoping once the upgrade completes it will be fixed but I have no idea what's going on.

Perhaps trying an upgrade of pacman will give a better result.

I've re-installed pacman ( it was up to date ) but it doesn't change anything.

I just downgraded pacman from 3.3.2-1 to 3.3.0-3 ( 9-1-09 from the ARM ) and it seems to have worked. The downloads pause for a few seconds around 90% but then it completes even on the larger files. I guess there's a bug in the more recent pacman builds though I don't recall exactly when I started having problems upgrading. Anyways, thanks for the help.
