Whenever I plug in a USB flash drive or something similar, the Device Notifier informs me that I just inserted something, and when I click on it in the device manager, nothing happens. Is there something I need to configure somewhere?

Looks like you're in the same problem as I was before. It is due to the latest updates. Uninstalling devicekit-disks did the trick for me. An alternative way is to update to the latest version of libatasmart. You can get it from AUR. Here's the link: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=28199

Thank you!
Does this have anything to do with my desktop not refreshing when I save or delete a file? Are you having that problem too?

No. Could you please explain a little ?

No. Could you please explain a little ?
On my install, whenver I save files to my desktop (KDE 4.3.2) the files don't show up until I rightclick the desktop and click "refresh". The same thing happens when I delete a file. When I delete a file, the file still shows up on my desktop until I rightclick and refresh the desktop.
Whatever KDE uses to monitor when files are deleted and whatnot is not working.

I have the same issue here. I belive it's because of the current kernel. Take a look at this http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/16193?st … &closedto=
Try enabling Nepomuk.

Thank you! I will give that a shot later tonight.

I enabled Nepomuk (I checked the box) and then restarted my computer, and I'm still having the refresh problem.
