shutdown PC with TUCAN

i use that program for downloading, because is very light instead of jdownloader
but when i try to shutdown my PC after i've downloaded all...doesn't
it shows some box saying
"you don't have the permissions"
so...what i need to do?

Well first I would try and find the location of the application 'Tucan Manager' with something like this:

#updatedb
#locate tucan

From there, go to the folder is placed in and see the full list of that directory, example below:

#cd ~/.applications/
#ls -al | grep tucan

Who owns it and what are the Read, Write, Execute permissions for the owner, group and public on that folder? If it is owned by root for the owner and group OR the public permission doesn't allow Read and Execute, that might be the reason why it is having a hard time shutting down the application.

Add "jfca283 ALL = NOPASSWD: /sbin/shutdown" to /etc/sudoers.
