Hello, i'm sure there is a simple answer to this, but i couldnt figure anything out. Isn't there a script or command i could input to make my pc shutdown in, for example, 1 hour? I often fall asleep while watching something or listening to tunes and i don't want to leavet the pc on all night if i dont have to.
thanks!

shutdown -h +<delay in minutes>
so: shutdown -h +60 would be one hour

I haven't lost my mind; I have a tape back-up somewhere.

For example:
shutdown -h +60
shutdown -h 00:30
Edit: Zeist was too quick!

so "shutdown -h +60" will force a shutdown in 60 minutes? Hopefully without the need for sudo since i won't be conscious.
this is fantastic and simple, thanks!
