Hi All. I'm wondering why pacman -S gstreamer0.10-{{bad,good,ugly,base}{,-plugins},-ffmpeg} from ArchWiki page doesn't work and I have to install all gstreamer codecs manually?

Codecs packs are not officially supported any more in the repos. Try installing codecs from the AUR.
To know or not to know ...
... the questions remain forever.

small typo in the wikipage:
pacman -S gstreamer0.10-{{bad,good,ugly,base}{,-plugins},-ffmpeg}
should be:
pacman -S gstreamer0.10-{{bad,good,ugly,base}{,-plugins},ffmpeg}

You can simply install the whole group:
pacman -S gstreamer0.10-plugins

@stefanwilkens I must be blind. THNX. @bernarcher gstreamer whitch supports almost all formats is in repo so i don't know what are you talking about: "codecs package is out-of-date and no longer needed!"

You can simply install the whole group:
pacman -S gstreamer0.10-plugins
That's what I did when I installed them on my mother's computer .
When I installed and set up my computer, the wiki didn't have:
pacman -S gstreamer0.10-{{bad,good,ugly,base}{,-plugins},ffmpeg}
I can't remember exactly what commands it gave then, but it's different now.
It works either way .
