I don't think the core dcplusplus program supports Linux. I believe they direct you to linuxdcpp mentioned by Nezmer. The problem is that linuxdcpp is getting behind and is still using dcpp core 0.697 or so, while the main dcpp is up to 0.750.
Linuxdcpp needs to update to the newer core to be compatible with newer adc and adcs protocol hubs.
